I have received emails that LOOK legit from EBAY, but they are just a facade.

You need to forward ANY suspicious emails hoaxing on ebay to spoof@ebay.com

THey will look at the email %26amp; get back to you as to whether it was fraudulent or not.

BUT, if anyone has listed something on ebay, %26amp; you checked your actual account... then report it to EBAY at:

http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/

There are many, many links on this page that can help you with this security issue.
Ebay

Phone: 1-800-717-3229
Please give more details.

I don't see the harm in somebody posting an item using your account, you still get the money, I only see a problem if they start bidding using your account.

You can report a security problem to ebay using this link: http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/rep鈥?/a>

I believe that the link will send an email to somebody working for ebay that will let you get your account back. It requires no username/password.
All you have to do is email EBay with your account # and they will take appropriate actions. Look under Security-Fraud.

Then notify pay pal to cancel your credit card #/ and or bank account# and tell them the same information. This will halt anyone using any of your accounts to pay for anything while they investigate.
I was looking for a number yesterday and the only thing I could find was IM. And that was when i was going to cancel my account I came across it. The CR was very helpful though. Good luck.
yes dont worry you wont be held liable , its under fraud , just email them , they also have instant IM
Contact e-bay and tell them what happened, from now on don't answer anything from e-bay on your e-mail account, they will get your e-mail address and your password and you could be charged for all types of things.
Go to Ebay help immediately and contact them - they have a fraud link - it happened to me and they rectified it...
No but it sounds like you got a scam email and freaked out...before you realized it was scam.....I have gotton those, and they are so real looking...I spoof to ebay....about it....always it is a scam....The scumbag slime that do that make it very real.......and it is scary.....it probably is just a scam.....
Not sure about a # to call but there's email stuff to fill out if there's a problem.

Go to the ';Help'; section while signed into your account. There is a ';Contact Us'; section.
