I had an item for sale on ebay and i said that i only post to the UK but someone from another country?

bought the item what do i do now

It was a buy it now item and will they leave me bad feedback because i cant post the itemI had an item for sale on ebay and i said that i only post to the UK but someone from another country?
as you stated in the description that you only post in the uk you can cancel the transaction, if they leave you bad feedback you can appeal to ebay and have it removed, when you sell something in future go to seller preferences and click the box that says '; only allow buyers who are in countries that i post to bid of buy '; it will save all this hassle as they will not be able to bid or buy on any of your items.I had an item for sale on ebay and i said that i only post to the UK but someone from another country?
I'm a seller too...it happens all the time...

1) buyers hold sellers to ransom over threat of neg feedback

2) buyers who know you don't sell abroad yet still try it on

3) buyers who notice a mistake on listing, pay for it straight away to take advantage, then claim the transaction is complete and threaten to report you for not sending item.

4) Ebay is full of sharks and timewasters, theres so few genuine buyers on there, thats the pitfall of selling on ebay. The buyers have all the rights.

ANSWER ...DO NOT SEND IT, HES ANGRY WITH YOU AND NOW HOLDS A GRUDGE, IF YOU SENT IT, THEY COULD THEN SAY THEY HAVEN'T RECIEVED IT AND STILL REPORT YOU FOR FUN, NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE OUT OF POCKET BUT YOU'LL GET NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. HE WILL PROB STILL LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK EVEN IF YOU SEND IT. HES A BAD BUYER, BLOCK HIM FROM FUTURE BIDS ON YOUR SELLER PREFERENCES. OPEN UP A DISPUTE WITH EBAY, EBAY CANNOT FORCE YOU TO SEND IT.

ALSO, other people are wrong about feedback withdrawal, ebay seldom withdraws neg feedback, you will find that you will not qualify for neg feedback withdrawal. You will be stuck with neg feedback, but thats the pitfall of ebay, its not a kosher site. No one on ebay is genuinely 100% feedback those that have 100% feedback ...often make threats to so the other person doesnt leave a neg. Feedback percentage is deceptive.

There is no point asking him if he wants to pay extra to send abroad, he is angry with you and trying to squeeze you and annoy you...I guarantee you he wont pay the extra and will want you to send it to him at the UK delivery rate, I've been in this situation before, the buyer is corrupt and knows exactly what hes doing, hes taking advantage of novice sellers and has probably done it before.
I have never sold anything on ebay yet, but I understand you have a right to refuse to sell to someone outside the area you are prepared to post to.

You have obligation to sell to someone outside the UK, these were your terms of sale.

Politely remind the person who won the item iof these facts.

Tell ebay of the difficulty and seek advice how to proceed with canceling that offer to buy.
just wait it out then, if he doesn't pay then you don't have to send it!!! if he does pay then just send it as long as the money i in your account then there is no reason to worry about posting abroad!!!
you need to change your settings to sell to those only in the country you live.

simple email the buyer with a price to ship over seas and when he she pays send it,

next time make it clear this is a uk sale only

Report them to ebay.............. you have done nothing wrong !!!

You should be able to get the feedback removed once the action goes in your favour.
if they have not paid for it cancel the transaction. If they leave bad feedback leave bad feedback for them and tell them you will with draw it if they do
Send the buyer a message and tell them they have broken the conditions of sale. You could tell the buyer if they are prepared to pay for the extra postage you will send the item. Try and work something out with the buyer via messages. Good luck.
Contact eBay. As long as your auction clearly stated that you post to the UK only there shouldn't be a problem.

Also, be sure to respond to the bad feedback and leave bad feedback on their profile. People need to read the auction page before they bid. If they don't, they have no one else to blame but themselves if they get things wrong.
Ask them if they are willing to pay the extra postage for overseas , and whether by airmail or sea.
if you do get bad feedback, you can easily erase it and start fresh. it's not that difficult at all. here's a guide on how to start fresh and get 75 positive feedbacks in less than 24 hours (for under $1)

why can't you post it to them?? Its really not difficult to send stuff overseas, and as long as they are prepared to pay the extra postage costs ....

They may not have paid as they are waiting for you to provide an invoice with the extra postage on! Don't panic just yet - I sold an electrical item (UK only) to someone in the US some time ago - panicked like you - turned out he actually had a place in the UK and it was easily posted there!!
Don't worry they are in the wrong, get onto eBay %26amp; they will sort it out for you
