Its to my Knowledge that a store can not legally limit the amount of items purchased. They can only put a cap to payments like from a credit card. Should this happen it could possibly lead to a lawsuit and discrimination if it pertains to the victim

1) Ensure you have a clear picture included


2) People like to know the item comes with a returns policy (about 7 days)


3) Offer options for posting or collecting the item


4) List it under the correct category, otherwise no one will see it where its needed.


5) Sell your item by giving A COMPLETE description of it. Amend it if necessary. Make the reader feel as if they absolutely cannot LIVE without your item.

But description is a big plus in eBay a lot of people only have a limited description of what they are selling, is it new or used, condition mint, new, good, fair, any other things you an add to it does it have any defects this may save time later on.





A good clear picture, a few let their selling down by putting either unclear or no pic at all.





also check before you sell, see if anybody else is selling the same product as you, are their many bids if any at all, if several people list the same item and no ones bids its a good chance that yours will not sell, unless you have the fortunate luck to have two people bidding.

I think it would be cheaper for them to get PS2 in Nigeria and avoid all the shipping and taxes. Besides once it leaves the US there is no way of telling if they get the actual merchandise. why wouldn't you just email her and ask her unless you have something sneaky and bad up your sleeve?
the seller's email is protected - you have to search by seller ID. If you don't have that, find just ONE item that they're selling, and cross-reference by seller ID, and by that you can list all the items they have.
I think you'd have to know their seller ID.

I would say that its a risk. Document everything! Its possible that they are attempting to have you ship the item, then say that they never received it, or that it was broken, or any number of things, then dispute with paypal. make sure you photograph the ps3, including the areas where the serial number are, or anything that is discernible to YOUR ps3. I had a guy try to tell me that a guitar pedal i sold him arrived broken, to turn out he was just trying to replace one that he had broken and then get his money back. It works with walmart, it doesnt work with real people.

I'm sure there are honest people in Nigeria. But your best bet, if you get anything from Nigeria, is to just assume it's some kind of scam - almost all are.
It sounds okay to me. I would just double-check customs guidelines to make sure there aren't any extra taxes or fees associated with shipping to Nigeria.

you need a bit more than dreamweaver and html. server-side scripting is what you exactly need to do. you can do it with ASP( and ASP.NET) and PHP. Both do same things just different programming languages. If I go step by step for basics;





1) you need to build a database for products. could use mysql, access, xml file or just a text file. there're much more options, i just try to keep is short.


2) listing page have to be coded. so you can display the products you added into database.


3)Shopping chart could be very useful if you want people to pay at the end of the session instead of at the end of each item picking.


4) admin control panel required to add/remove/update products. you also need a login in this step.





for a basic solution that's all. you can develop that much further but then you need to be a pro or need to get one.

first you have to have the picture of the item downloaded to your computer from a digital camera with a plug that plugs into your computer or with 35 mm camera, when developing the pics have them make you a disc, so you can use that to download pics or if you can find an exact item pic online then copy that and save it on your computer (but only works on fairly new items)...





Start the ad process (click on site map at top of ebay page, click on sell, type in description or click on select a category)...when it gets to pictures, click on add pictures,





Note-download the free picture editing software from ebay (it comes in handy for clipping off excess space in pics and lightening up dark pics)





...click on ';upload pictures'; after the editing software is installed, then you are looking for wherever you put the pic on your computer click on add pictures and if you put the pic in ';my pictures'; it will be there, otherwise use the dropdown menu arrow to find where you put it and select it by clicking on the pic and click open...it should appear in the free pic slot of the ad page..

You can either take pictures using a digital camera (they are getting cheaper and cheaper, or you can just borrow one). Or if you have a regular camera, most film places have the option of putting your pics on a CD for you.





Whichever way you get them, dump the pics onto your computer, and then when you go to E-bay it will have a place to let you upload them. Ask e-bay help if you can't figure it out, but it should be pretty straightforward.
First set up an ebay account. Then click on sell and read the easy to use directions on how to make a listing they also explain how to upload pics.
This may sound harsh and i apologize but if you are new to computers I woudl not recommend selling on eBay unless you get help from a friend or family member that is famliar with the site. The site is safe and easy to use but you need to be familliar with the internet and you need to watch for fraud - if you are going to sell or buy here is a tip - never use Western Union

If you live on the East coast, have the auction end at a time when it's neither too early nor too late at night for West-coast bidders, and the same in reverse if you live on the West coast so the auction won't end too early nor too late at night for East-coast bidders.





The best time of year to sell many things (such as collectibles) on eBay seems to be fall and winter, when the weather is not always nice and the days are shorter so more people are indoors and more likely to be surfing through eBay...

You can get them cheaper than dealers...even though they will be there too...just remember they can't pay too much because they have to sell it for a profit.





One thing on auctions....be prepared to pay cash once you win it. They don't do loans. Also have a mechanic or someone who knows a lot about cars go with you to look at the car before you bid....because once you bid and win... it's yours --- good , bad , or ugly.

look at the sellers feedback. if it is above 95% or so positive, i would go with it, even look at how long they have been on ebay for. maybe in stores they are new and this one is used. over all ebay is pretty trustworthy because if you have a problem you can make a claim through paypal or something. hope i helped!

Your city more then likely does not allow any ty[e of advertising in a residential area, especially one that has a lot of traffic as it can be not only an eye sore, but cause traffic problems.

4)Ctrl-v to paste in path, then click enter - you should now be in the right folder

I think you need to amend your original advert to say how many you want to sell. I've never sold anything so I don't know how to do it but e bay should be able to give advise. From your My Ebay page, select Manage My Shop (down the left hand side)





From the Shop Maintenance page, select Markdown Manager. You can then Create Sale, and add in what items you what at whatever discount you choose





If you simply mean, how do you list an item in your shop (assuming you've set up a shop), you just select Store Inventory instead of Fixed Price or Online Auction





If you're finding it difficult with listing, try something like Auctiva.com or Ebay's own TurboLister program to make life easier (I like Auctiva as it allows free photo hosting and free scheduling)

The best method I've found yet is to buy business cards and hand them out everwhere. I buy them from a place online that gives the cards for free and only charges for shipping and handling. What items do you personally buy on eBay, maybe that will help you decide?

When I go to E-bay, I am looking for a hot deal on anything. However, I would say that a few things sell better than others:





Items you can purchase in lots, but sell individually. You can do this through warehouse clubs (like Sam's Club), or discount places.





I've always thought that yard-saling is such a missed avenue. Become a professional yard-saler, pick up items that are unique and/or popular and sell them on E-Bay. Most people have yard sales to clean out their crap. But you know what they say about one person's crap being another person's treasure.





Regional Items - are there things you can sell from your region that are easy and cheap for you to get but maybe less cheap in that person's area? It's worth a try!What are the most marketable items for sale on eBay?
New items definitely sell best. Gymboree baby clothes sell well. DVDs also sell pretty well.

why don't you go research Ebay? I don't think it's a matter of what sells the best, it's what sells that offers you the most profit. Shipping 5 profitable things is better than shipping 30 things that might 'sell the best' but offer you the same amount of return as the 5 things. Look for something that gives you the most bang for your buck, not what you can sell the most of.
it depends on the time of year i suppose ive sold alsorts on there and 1 thing could sell great at summer but in winter it wont go for as much i realy aint got a clue what certain thing sells best but as a parent i would say chidrens stuff
That's kind of tough. I would dare say that rare pop culture items are the most highly marketable. Even ridiculous things like Mary, Mother of God burned into a piece of toast. Dick Cheney's infamous birdshot pellet that shot his buddy sold for something like $20,000 USD. Elvis and Madonna memoriblia seem hot ticket items. I know I buy antiques (mainly books) but I don't think that represents the masses to well. I'm just a nerd.
Items that sell best are things people want most - the current 'hot' items like ipods or the new xbox systems are good examples. Also, ebay has become a good place for collectors to buy and sell things they collect - like comic books, beanie babies, stamps, or antiques.


Basically, its supply and demand. If you have something a lot of people are looking for, it will sell, and for a good price.
Goodness, what doesn't sell on Ebay? I personally buy a lot of equine supplies and have sold a variety of things there as well. Instead of having a garage sale, I will go thru my house and list items on Ebay and get lots more money for it there.
