In my experience, the best time is a weekend evening/night, preferably a Sunday...





If you live on the East coast, have the auction end at a time when it's neither too early nor too late at night for West-coast bidders, and the same in reverse if you live on the West coast so the auction won't end too early nor too late at night for East-coast bidders.





The best time of year to sell many things (such as collectibles) on eBay seems to be fall and winter, when the weather is not always nice and the days are shorter so more people are indoors and more likely to be surfing through eBay...
