So much for the VAT cut ,i have seen items for sale now more expensive than they were 2 weeks ago?

We pass on the VAT saving to you the advertisers would have us believe, yet an item that was 拢146 2 weeks ago is now being sold at 拢156 but being advertised with Vat busting reduction ,er hello vat came down not up.

other shops are just as guilty and i am not just talking about small retailers.

so to the question our we as customers being RIPPED OFF?

One of the main criticisms being levelled at the VAT cut and other things like money going to banks is that it isn't being passed on quickly enough, what did they expect?

Give a banker billions and is he really just going to pass it on???

To put it in perspective, 2.5% is 拢5 off a 拢200 TV, nothing specialSo much for the VAT cut ,i have seen items for sale now more expensive than they were 2 weeks ago?
They have put the VAT down to 15%, but they've put the price up because it's getting closer to Christmas.

Shops near me have been doing the same thing - one even decided it could not be bothered to change the price of all it's products, to will just give you 拢5 off for every 拢25 you spend. I only wanted to buy some xmas cards, so why should that mean I have to pay the old price?

It's stupid, but that's how businesses work. They're out to get as much money as they can, especially now it's coming up to christmas.
Stop whinging here and go to the Trading Standards.

Millions of items are sold every week and you highlight one so what exactly is your point? The difference is barely worth the question in pence.
Its just another one of Gordon Browns Follies. There will be another bunch coming your way soon. He goes to bed every night dreaming them up.
Of course you have its coming up to xmas
